The Committee considered the report of the Director of Corporate Commissioning giving an update on area management activities that had taken place in the Sefton East Parishes wards since the last meeting. The Area Coordinator (Sefton East Parishes) gave a verbal update on further progress which had occurred since the preparation of the report.
Reference was made to proposals for a cleaning operations review and in particular to the use of mechanical sweepers in certain areas. Members requested that the Cleaning services manager be invited to attend the next meeting of the Committee to discuss these issues.
Arising from the discussion a member referred to issues with drainage in particular areas and a request was made for a report back from United Utilities to assess stability of drainage within Maghull area.
RESOLVED: That
(1) the report be noted;
(2) the Cleaning services manager be requested to attend the next meeting of the Committee to discuss the review of cleaning within the Sefton East Parishes Area; and
(3) Members or residents be requested to contact the Neighbourhoods Division with any further area issues they wish to raise.
