Apologies for absence were received from Councillor Jones and his Substitute Councillor Brough.

Report of the Chief Planning Officer

Minutes:

The Committee considered the report of the Chief Planning Officer that recommended that the above application for the erection of 183 dwellinghouses, vehicular access, surface water attenuation, public open space including play equipment, landscaping and ancillary infrastructure, be granted subject to conditions and the completion of a section 106 agreement, for the reasons stated or referred to in the report.

 

Prior to consideration of the application, the Committee received a petition from Ms C. Crist on behalf of objectors against the proposed development and a joint response from Mr. A. Taylor (Applicant), Mr. C. Garratt (Agent) and Mr. S. Foxall (Flooding and Drainage Consultant).

 

RESOLVED:

 

That the recommendation be approved and the application be granted subject to the conditions, and the completion of a Section 106 Legal Agreement for the reasons stated or referred to in the report and in Late Representations.

RESOLVED:

 

That the recommendation be not approved and the application be refused for the reason that the application would result in a  lack of outdoor amenity space to the detriment of residential amenity and lack of justification as to why the number of units proposed is necessary.
