Application No.S/2012/0719 - Arriva, Hawthorne Road, Bootle Minutes: The Committee considered the report of the Head of Planning Services recommending that the above application for the change of use for a temporary period of 5 years on part of the land currently used for staff car parking for a combination of staff parking and bus parking be granted subject to the conditions and for the reasons stated or referred to in the report.
Prior to consideration of the application, the Committee received a petition on behalf of objectors, which was read out by Suzette Cain, Sefton MBC Solicitor, against the proposed development and a response by the applicant’s agent, Mr.Gee.
RESOLVED:
That the recommendation be approved and the application be granted subject to the imposition of an initial 12 month temporary period and for the conditions and reasons stated or referred to in the report.

Application No.S/2013/0066 - The Waterloo Tavern Queen Street, Waterloo Minutes: The Committee considered the report of the Head of Planning Services recommending that the above application for the conversion of the existing Public House with living accommodation over, into 15 self-contained flats, including the erection of a rear extension, alterations to and raising the roof height, alterations to the elevations, layout of car parking spaces to the rear and landscaping be granted subject to the conditions and for the reasons stated or referred to in the report.
Prior to consideration of the application, the Committee received a petition from which was read out by Suzette Cain, Sefton MBC Solicitor, on behalf of objectors against the proposed development and a response by the applicant’s agent, Mr.Graham.
RESOLVED:
That the recommendation be approved and the application be granted subject to the conditions and for the reasons stated or referred to in the report and Late Representations.

Application No.S/2013/0061 - 51-53 Merton Road, Bootle Minutes: The Committee considered the report of the Head of Planning Services recommending that the above application for the change of use from Office to Sui Generis House in Multiple Occupancy be granted subject to the conditions and for the reasons stated or referred to in the report.
Prior to consideration of the application, the Committee received a petition from Mr.Latham, the applicant, in support of the proposed development.
RESOLVED:
That the recommendation be approved and the application be granted subject to: (i) the deletion of condition 5; (ii) the amendement of condition 6 to include the completed Landscaping (scheme) relating to hedge and railings; and the reasons stated or referred to in the report and Late Representations.

Application No.S/2013/0022 - Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service, Bridle Road, Netherton Minutes: The Committee considered the report of the Head of Planning Services recommending that the above application for a proposed joint Control Centre and conference facility including refurbishment and alterations to the existing Merseyside Fire and Rescue Headquarters, the erection of a two storey rear extension, single storey extension to the heritage centre, demolition of ancillary buildings, layout of new parking with access road to Farriers Way and landscaping be granted subject to the conditions and for the reasons stated or referred to in the report.
RESOLVED:
That the recommendation be approved and the application be granted subject to: · the inclusion of an addition of standard S106 condition; and the conditions and for the reasons stated or referred to in the report and Late Representations.

Application No.S/2012/0159 - Laxton Cottage, 2 Elbow Lane, Formby Minutes: The Committee considered the report of the Head of Planning Services recommending that the above application for the erection of one pair of semi-detached two storey dwellinghouses and one detached two storey dwellinghouse (three in total) after demolition of the existing dwellinghouse be granted subject to the conditions and for the reasons stated or referred to in the report.
Prior to consideration of the application Councillor Maguire, as Ward Councillor, made representations on behalf of objectors against the proposed development.
