That the Minutes of the meeting held on 26 July 2017 be confirmed as a correct record.

To consider passing the following resolution:

 

That, under Section 100A(4) of the Local Government Act, 1972, the press and public be excluded from the meeting for the following item(s) of business on the grounds that it involves the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in Paragraphs 1 and 2 of Part 1 of Schedule 12A to the Act.  The Public Interest Test has been applied and favours exclusion of the information from the Press and Public.

Recruitment to Head of Adult Social Care

Report of the Chief Personnel Officer

Minutes:

Further to Minute No. 4 of 26 July 2017 the Committee considered the report of the Chief Personnel Officer that updated on the recruitment process to date for the completion of the appointment of the Head of Adult Social Care; and seeking approval of the shortlist of candidates and the final selection process.

 

RESOLVED: That

 

(1)

the recommended shortlist of candidates, as detailed in the report, for progression to the final interview stage for the post of Head of Adult Social Care be approved;

 

(2)

the job description and person specification for the post as set out at Annex 4 to the report be noted;

 

(3)

it be noted that the post has been advertised at a salary of £81,942 (Senior Management Hay 3) with provision for market supplement in accordance within the Council’s Pay Policy;

 

(4)

it be noted that a copy of the job advertisement, attached as Annex 1 to the report, had been placed in in the Municipal Journal, Local Government Chronicle, the Guardian Online along with appropriate Social Media such as the Council’s twitter feed, facebook and linkedin; and

 

(5)

the full recruitment timetable and process as set out at Annex 5 to the report be noted..
