That Councillor Bradshaw be elected Chair for this meeting of the Sub-Committee.

Report of the Director of Built Environment Additional documents: Minutes: The Sub-Committee considered the report of the Director of Built Environment regarding an application by Britannia Hotels (Fylde) Limited for the variation of a Premises Licence in respect of the above premises.
· The sale of alcohol by retail (on and off the premises);
The applicants also wished to include the following non standard timings in respect of the sale of alcohol in respect to the ground floor only:
Objections to the application had been received and this necessitated a hearing for which the Sub-Committee had been convened.
Prior to the hearing, Mrs S. Cain, Legal Advisor indicated that Mr Lloyd was unable to attend; therefore the Sub-Committee would consider Mr Lloyd’s written representations only at the hearing.
The Sub-Committee heard representations from Mr. Hyldon representing the Applicant.
During his representation Mr Hyldon indicated that in response to Mr Lloyd’s written representations regarding the discrepancy in the timings printed on the notice displayed at the premise, Mr Hyldon had sought advice from the Licensing Department and the notice was amended.
Mrs.S.Cain, Legal Advisor indicated that the objector was not intentionally mislead and the correct notice was quickly rectified by the applicant and also information was correctly published on the Council’s website.
Mr Hyldon agreed the issues that were in contention and the procedure that was to be followed. There were no further preliminary issues raised and at the end of his representation, Mr Hyldon confirmed that he was satisfied that he said all he wished to say.
The Sub-Committee retired under Regulation 14(2) of the Licensing Act (Hearings) Regulations 2005 (as amended) and thereby excluded the press and public whilst they reached their decision on the application. The Sub-Committee ... view the full minutes text for item 31. |
