Merseyside Fire and Rescue Authority
Description
The Authority has responsibility for emergency responses and the prevention of fires and other incidents within the area of Merseyside and comprises of eighteen representatives from the five local authorities of Knowsley, Liverpool, Sefton, St Helens and Wirral. The Authority has a statutory duty under the Local Government Act 1985 to provide an efficient Fire and Rescue Service for the people of Merseyside.
