Report of the Chief Personnel Officer
Minutes:
Further to Minute No. 12 of the meeting of the Pay and Grading Committee held on 15 January 2016, the Council considered the report of the Chief Personnel Officer on the proposed Pay Policy for the Council as required by the Localism Act 2011.
It was moved by Councillor Lappin, seconded by Councillor Fairclough and
RESOLVED:
That the proposed Pay Policy, as detailed at Annexe A of the report, be approved.
Report of the Chief Personnel Officer
Minutes:
The Committee considered the report of the Chief Personnel Officer that recommended a Pay Policy for the Council as required by the Localism Act 2011. After consideration of the report by the Committee, the report would be considered by the full Council.
The clerk to the Committee, Olaf Hansen, advised that following implementation of the new senior management structure within the Council, the Committee’s delegation required amendment to reflect the new structure.
RESOLVED: That
(1) Council be recommended to approve the proposed Pay Policy, as detailed at annexe A of the report;
(2) Council be recommended to amend the delegation of the Pay and Grading Committee to:
i. “the Pay and Grading Committee (in the case of Chief Executive and Directors) makes a recommendation to full Council as to whether a severance payment over £100,000 should be made; and
ii. the Pay and Grading Committee (in the case of all other officers) makes a determination as to whether a severance payment over £100,000 should be made.”
