Consideration of Objections to Proposed Taxi Licensing Fee Variations Report of the Head of Regulation and Compliance Additional documents:
Minutes: Further to Minute No.36 of the meeting of the Licensing and Regulatory Committee held on 25 January 2016, the Committee considered the report of the Head of Regulation and Compliance that requested the consideration of two objections received to the proposed Taxi Licensing related fee increases.
The Chair requested that the meeting briefly adjourn to clarify a technical point with the Chief Finance Officer, Margaret Rawding and the Principal Trading Standards Officer, Mark Toohey.
Prior to the Committee’s consideration of the item, one of the objectors Trevor Jones, North West Taxi Association, informed the Committee that he wished to formally withdraw his organisation’s objection to the proposed fee increases.
RESOLVED: That
(1)
the report be noted; (2)
the objection received from taxi licensing trade be noted;
and (3) the new taxi licensing fees be introduced from 3 May 2016, as detailed within the report.
