DC/2018/02240 - 34 Upper Aughton Road, Birkdale Minutes: The Committee considered the report of the Chief Planning Officer that recommended that the above application for the erection of 8 dwellinghouses following the demolition of the former Blundell Arms public house be approved subject to the conditions and for the reasons stated or referred to in the report and Late Representations.
Prior to consideration of the item the Committee received a petition from Mr.McCormick, on behalf of objectors to the proposed development and a response from Mr.Anderson, the applicant’s agent.
RESOLVED:
That the recommendation be deferred to enable officers to consider the summary viability information provided by the applicant in the late representations, and if necessary, request a full viability assessment in order to be satisfied whether or not the building can be converted as an alternative to demolition.

DC/2019/01069 - Land to the North of Bartons Close, Southport Minutes: The Chief Planning Officer informed that issues regarding a Unilateral Undertaking and surface water drainage had not been resolved on this application; consequently he recommended that the item be deferred to a future meeting of the Committee.

That consideration of the item be deferred to a future meeting of the Committee.

DC/2019/01248 - Unit 9, 22 Berry Street, Bootle Minutes: The Committee considered the report of the Chief Planning Officer that recommended that the above application for the change of use from B1, B2 and B8 to D2 Assembly and Leisure be refused for the reasons stated or referred to in the report.
Prior to consideration of the item the Committee received a petition from Mr.Rea, on behalf of supporters of the proposed use.
RESOLVED:
That the recommendation be approved and the application be refused for the reasons stated within the report.

DC/2019/01391 - 6 Merrilocks Green, Blundellsands Minutes: The Committee considered the report of the Chief Planning Officer that recommended that the above application for the erection of a porch at the front and conversion of existing garage to a habitable room involving the erection of a pitched roof over the existing garage at the side of the dwellinghouse be approved for the reasons stated or referred to in the report and Late Representations.
RESOLVED:
That the recommendation be approved and the application be approved subject to the conditions and for the reasons stated within the report.
