DC/2022/01276 - 5 and 5A Bury Road, Birkdale, Southport PDF 784 KB Minutes: The Committee considered the report of the Chief Planning Officer recommending that the above application for the proposed demolition of the ground floor rear extension, mixed use development incorporating, partial retention of ground floor Commercial, Business and Service use (Use Class E), part change of use of ground floor and upper floor (from a C3/C4 use class) to a 7-person, 7-bedroom house of multiple occupation (sui generis), alterations to front, rear and side elevations, with access, car parking, landscaping and associated infrastructure be granted subject to the conditions and for the reasons stated or referred to in the report.
Prior to consideration of the application, the Committee received a petition on behalf of objectors against the proposed development and a response by the applicant’s agent.
Councillor Shaw, as Ward Councillor, made representations on behalf of objectors against the proposed development.
RESOLVED:
That the recommendation be approved and the application be granted subject to the conditions and for the reasons stated or referred to in the report and subject to an additional condition requiring a management plan governing the use of the premises (including a point of contact should any issues arise over behaviour).
