Report of the Head of Planning Services

Additional documents:

Minutes:

Further to Minute No. 187 of the Planning Committee held on 2 May 2012, the Committee considered the report of the Head of Planning Services recommending that the above Prior Notification Procedure application for the erection of a 15m high telecommunications mast, ground based equipment cabinet and ancillary apparatusbe granted subject to the conditions and for the reasons stated or referred to in the report.

At the meeting of the Planning Committee on 2 May 2012, a number of further objections to the application had been circulated in the Late Representations document and a letter from Formby Parish Council objecting to the application had been submitted at the meeting, consequently, Members had resolved that the item be deferred for further consideration of those representations.

The report submitted included details of the further objections and letter received and the views of the Head of Planning Services on those objections and issues raised.

Prior to consideration of the application, and at the invitation of the Chair, Councillor Dutton, as Ward Councillor, made representations on behalf of objectors against the proposed development, Parish Councillor Gaskin addressed the Committee on behalf of Formby Parish Council and the Committee also received a response from the applicant’s agent, Mr. Schofield in relation to issues surrounding the camouflaging of the proposed mast.

RESOLVED:

That the recommendation be approved and the Prior Notification Procedure application be granted.
