Report of the Neighbourhoods and Investment Programmes Director Minutes: The Committee considered the report of the Neighbourhoods and Investment Programmes Director which provided details of the offer from the Homes and Communities Agency to provide funding of £1million to the Council in the current financial year towards further acquisitions of properties in the Klondyke area of Bootle which are intended for demolition (Phase 2 and 3).
RESOLVED: That
(1) the offer of £1million of grant funding made by the Homes and Communities Agency to fund further acquisitions in the Klondyke area of Bootle be accepted; and
(2) the Acting Head of Corporate Legal Service be authorised to enter into a Grant Agreement with the Homes and Communities Agency. |

Report of the Neighbourhoods and Investment Programmes Director Minutes: The Committee considered the report of the Neighbourhoods and Investment Programmes Director which provided details of the offer from the Homes and Communities Agency to fund the remediation costs of £250,000 in the current financial year for the site known as Klondyke 1A in Bootle.
The report also proposed that the remediation works be undertaken by the Contractors, Blackwell Limited as an optional extension to the existing contract for the remediation of the Tannery and Penpoll sites in Bootle.
RESOLVED: That
(1) the offer of grant funding of £250,000 made by the Homes and Communities Agency for the remediation of the site known as Klondyke Phase 1A be accepted;
(2) the Acting Head of Corporate Legal Services be authorised to enter into a Grant Agreement with the Homes and Communities Agency; and
(3) approval be given to a variation to the existing remediation contract with Blackwells Limited to enable the works to the site known as Klondyke 1A to be undertaken. |

Proposed Amendment to the Overarching Development Agreement with Keepmoat Limited. PDF 73 KB Report of the Neighbourhoods and Investment Programmes Director Minutes: The Committee considered the report of the Neighbourhoods and Investment Programme Director seeking approval to an amendment to the Overarching Development Agreement with Keepmoat Limited for the second phase of the new development in the Queens Road area of Bootle.
RESOLVED:
That approval be given to the amendment of the Overarching Development Agreement in respect of the Bedford Road and Queens Road redevelopment scheme, such that the gap in funding for the scheme would be funded by Keepmoat Limited from its own resources, on the basis that Keepmoat Limited will then retain any overage which arises on the scheme until the gap in funding has been eliminated, whereupon the overage arrangement will revert to that currently applicable. |
