That the Minutes of the meeting held on 9 December 2021 be confirmed as a correct record.

Exclusion of Press and Public

To consider passing the following resolution:

 

That, under Section 100A(4) of the Local Government Act, 1972, the press and public be excluded from the meeting for the following item(s) of business on the grounds that it involves the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in Paragraph1 of Part 1 of Schedule 12A to the Act.  The Public Interest Test has been applied and favours exclusion of the information from the Press and Public.

Recruitment to the Post of Head of Service Quality Assurance, Performance and Safeguarding

The Committee will interview candidates for the post of  Head of Service Quality Assurance, Performance and Safeguarding.

 

Copies of the interview timetable, the job description / person specification, the candidate application forms and details of the proposed interview questions will be distributed by the Chief Personnel Officer prior to the meeting.

 

Please note that any appointment to the post will be subject to the consideration of any material or well-founded objection to the appointment by Members of the Cabinet.

Minutes:

The Committee interviewed candidates for the post of Head of Service Quality Assurance, Performance and Safeguarding.

 

RESOLVED: That

 

(1)

a candidate be appointed to the post of Head of Service Quality Assurance, Performance and Safeguarding  Senior Management Hay Grade 3, at a salary of £87,597 per annum, subject to any checks, along with any conditions deemed necessary by the Chief Personnel Officer;

 

(2)

the offer of appointment in (1) above be subject to the Chief Personnel Officer notifying the Cabinet of the recommendation and ascertaining whether any Cabinet Member has a material or well-founded objection to the appointment; and

 

(3)

the Chief Personnel Officer be authorised to make any necessary practical arrangements.
