That Councillor Fairclough be appointed Chair for this and subsequent meetings relating to recruitment to the post of Service Manager Transport and Highway Infrastructure.

That the minutes of the meeting held on 20 September 2022 be confirmed as a correct record.

Exclusion of Press and Public

To consider passing the following resolution:

 

That, under Section 100A(4) of the Local Government Act, 1972, the press and public be excluded from the meeting for the following item of business on the grounds that it involves the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in Paragraphs1 and 2 of Part 1 of Schedule 12A to the Act.  The Public Interest Test has been applied and favours exclusion of the information from the Press and Public.

Recruitment to the post Service Manager - Transport & Highway Infrastructure

Minutes:

The Committee considered the report of the Assistant Director of Place (Highways & Public Protection)relating to recruitment to the post of Service Manager – Transport and Highway Infrastructure.

 

RESOLVED:  That

 

(1)

the recommended shortlist be approved;

 

(2)

the arrangements for the final selection process be approved;

 

(3)

it be noted that the post is graded at Hay 5, at a salary of £64,623 to £71,079 per annum per annum;

 

(4)

It be noted that the job advertisement set out in Annex 1 to the report has been placed on Jobsgopublic and Sefton’s website, along with appropriate social media such as the Council’s twitter feed, Facebook and Linkedin; and

 

(5)

the job description and person specification set out in Annex 2 to the report be noted.
