Exclusion of the Press and Public To consider passing the following resolution:
That, under Section 100A(4) of the Local Government Act, 1972, the press and public be excluded from the meeting for the following item(s) of business on the grounds that it involves the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in Paragraph 1 and 2 of Part 1 of Schedule 12A to the Act. The Public Interest Test has been applied and favours exclusion of the information from the Press and Public.
Minutes: RESOLVED:

Approval of Severance Payment Report of the Chief Personnel Officer Minutes: The Committee considered the report of the Head of Corporate Resources, which sought approval for the severance payment of a senior officer.
Mark Dale, the Chief Personnel Officer, confirmed that the severance payment was in-line with Council policies and within the employee’s contractual entitlement. He added that the final severance payment would be slightly higher than stated within the report as the employee would now work until 31 July 2017, rather than 31 May 2017.
RESOLVED:
That the severance payment in accordance with the employee’s contractual entitlement, detailed within the report, be approved.
