King’s Gardens Restoration Project

To appoint the Council’s preferred contractor to construct the King’s Gardens Restoration Project, Southport. The refurbishment of King’s Gardens will result in the complete overhaul of 22 acres of dilapidated and worn out public realm and gardens situted on Southport’s Seafront.  The works will restore all the public spaces, landscaping, Listed historic buildings, ornamental features and structures in King’s Gardens.  As well as physical improvements, an important aspect of this project is the long-term management and maintenance of the site over a period of at least 25 years and identifying community benefits, particularly training,  apprenticeships and establishing a Community Friends’ Group that will support operation and management.
