The Care Act 2014 is a comprehensive piece of
legislation which combines some new initiatives with an overhaul of
many and varied pieces of legislation that existed for adult social
care. Such a major piece of legislation is inevitably supported by
a range of secondary legislation (regulations) and government
guidance, much of which has yet to be finalised or drafted by the
government at this time.
A number of policies will need to be reviewed in due course and
some will need to be considered by Cabinet.
