Sefton currently purchases domiciliary support for children with
complex needs through a contracted Purchasing Framework shared with
a number of neighbouring Local authorities (Halton, Knowsley,
Liverpool, Wirral). The framework
maintains quality and ensures value for money by fixing costs. The
current framework is due to end on the 6 March 2016. As a result of
the contract ending a new purchasing arrangement will be required
to replace the current arrangement. This report will seek the
elected Members permission to identify an appropriate model,
develop and subsequently commission it.
