established Sefton Council as a Lead Local Flood
Authority (LLFA) making it responsible for the management of local
flood risk. Under Section 9 of the
FWMA, an LLFA has a duty to develop, maintain, apply and monitor a
Local Flood Risk Management
Strategy.

Engaged with internal/external partners first, then went out for public and statutory consultees for 8 weeks (due to end 17th November). Briefing papers to Cabinet Members (Cllr Moncur and Cllr Fairclough) and the Public Engagement and Consultation Panel. Also due to go to Overview and Scrutiny Committee (Regeneration and Skills) on 9th November.
