Consideration of the factors that would influence the decision to undertake a review and possible replacement of Sefton's Local Plan (2017). This includes the age of the current Local Plan, how well the Council are doing against key policies in that Local Plan and the emerging planning system due to be implemented in 2024.

This will be accordance with the Council’s Statement of Community Involvement and statutory national requirements. The timing of future consultation opportunities will be set out in an updated Local Development Scheme which will be published in advance of commencing the Local Plan
