This report outlines proposals for elected
members to be subject to voluntary DBS checks. It is proposed that
all elected members and co-opted members obtain a Basic DBS Check
and those members and substitute members sitting on Overview and
Scrutiny (Children’s Services & Safeguarding) Committee
and Overview and Scrutiny (Adult Social Care and Health) Committee
and Cabinet Members obtain an Enhanced DBS Check.
