The membership comprises of representatives from the local authorities of Liverpool, Sefton and Wirral and the stated aims of the Mersey Port Health Authority are to protect society against threats to public and animal health; provide a transparent, speedy, equitable and efficient service to our customers; to be a positive partner in the local, regional and national economies; and provide a value for money service.
Four meetings are held per year on a quarterly basis. One of these meetings is the Annual General Meeting, held in June. The agendas and minutes of the meetings can be accessed on the Authority website
