The National Health Service Foundation Trust is a large mental health trust offering specialist inpatient and community services that support mental health, learning disabilities, addictions, brain injuries and physical health, and it is one of only three trusts in the UK that offer high secure mental health facilities.

Formal meetings of the Council of Governors are held quarterly plus the Annual Members Meeting.
