Committee details

The role of the Committee is to fulfil all the functions of an Overview and Scrutiny Committee as they relate to Adult Social Care and the Local Authority (Public Health, Health and Wellbeing Boards and Health Scrutiny) Regulations 2013 and to review and make recommendations for improvement in relation to the following functions:

• Public Health • Leisure • Welfare Reform • Integrated Wellness Service • Parks and Green Spaces (including Allotments, Golf Courses, Trees and Sports Pitches, Play Areas and Skate Parks) • Day Care • Home Care • Residential Care • Respite Care • Carers • Quality • Safeguarding • Assessments • Direct Payments • To formally respond to consultations by relevant NHS bodies and relevant service health providers on substantial reconfiguration proposals.
