Overview and Scrutiny Committee (Children's Services and Safeguarding)
Purpose of committee
The role of the Committee is to fulfil all the functions of an Overview and Scrutiny Committee as they relate to Children’s Services and Safeguarding and to review and make recommendations for improvement in relation to the following functions:
• School Improvement • Children’s Centre’s • Special Educational Needs • Early Years • Early Help – Schools • Statutory Local Education Authority functions • Education Welfare • Safeguarding • Children with Disabilities • Looked after Children • Fostering and Adoptions • Family Support Pathway • Targeted Family Support • Youth Offending Team • Post 14 Education.
